Boundary Databases
Streamlined Sales Tax Project (SSTP) compliant boundary databases (files) are available containing all Nevada counties. There is one boundary database for both the 9-digit ZIP Code data and the 5-digit ZIP Code data. This data is based on the June, 2005, United State Postal Service Address Information System (AIS) data.
Nevada does not support an address level database. Download the Zip Code Boundary Database (3 mb) here.
Boundary File Format
The following table illustrates the table structure and shows which fields are available in each boundary type (9-digit ZIP and 5-digit ZIP). Each boundary row will have different fields pending on the boundary type. All data elements, including those that are null (no value), are required and have been included in the boundary databases. A placeholder (comma) is included for null data elements.

Federal information processing standards codes (FIPS codes) are a standardized set of numeric or alphabetic codes issued by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to ensure uniform identification of geographic entities. FIPS codes are used heavily by federal, state, regional and local government. The entities covered include: states and statistically equivalent entities, counties and statistically equivalent entities, named populated and related location entities (such as city, places and county subdivisions).
